I think my little description under "About Me" is lacking, so I'm going to try to put together a list of what Camp Other is about, or tries to aim for:
Not believing everything that is printed online about Lyme Disease and its treatment and questioning treatment plans, protocols, supplementation use, allopathic medicine, alternative medicine, integrative medicine, and anecdote or testimony.
Criticism of opinion pieces and editorials about Lyme Disease found online at other sources.
Perspectives on the patient experience and how the Lyme patient community interacts within itself and is perceived in the media and other outlets.
Sharing research studies and "unpacking" them, in the sense of showing why they provide limited information or what they do, in fact, say - versus what is written about them in the media.
Sharing newsworthy articles about Lyme Disease and other tick-borne infections and asking questions about their implications for the patient community.
Posting about resources and events that Lyme Disease patients can use and participate in.
I think that's a pretty good start... if this Camp Other blog achieves even a fraction of the above, it might even prove useful.
